Kevin Thomas was the project manager for the Goldsmiths Student Lifecycle Relationship Management Pilot Project (GoSLuRP), a 10-month JISC-funded project which ran from June 2009 to April 2010. The project aimed to improve the overall quality of the student experience by looking at the management of the institutions’ relationships with students during the initial stages of the student lifecycle. The project explored the differing information requirements for three distinct cohorts of students and examined some of the more complex engagements and services by focusing on postgraduate, international and widening participation students. The project sought to apply the principles of service design as an effective way to improve the student experience and advance the efficiency of the related administrative processes at the same time.
