Lucy is currently the Regional Director for Essex, Suffolk and organisational lead for providing children and young peoples short breaks services for Dimensions. Lucy commenced her work with people with learning difficulties in 1996 as a qualified nurse and worked within a NHS trust till 2002. Lucy then led adult services in Essex for a charity, trained as person centred facilitator, is an active support trainer from the Tizzad centre Kent, and has extensive experience working with families. Lucy has since developed and led the evolvement of children’s short break provision with Dimensions.

Lucy is very excited to lead and develop an exciting range of short breaks for disabled children and their families. “Through listening, being responsive and creative; it’s great to see what can be achieved in partnership with families to deliver fantastic outcomes for children and young people”.
