Jane Scott Paul
Jane Scott Paul has been Chief Executive of the AAT since 1997. Under Jane’s leadership, AAT has grown to an overall membership of 120,000 with an influential voice in the education, training, development and support of accounting technicians worldwide.
She played a key role in the drafting of occupational standards for UK accounting staff and was responsible for the implementation of AAT’s innovative competence-based qualifications in accounting.
Jane is also Chair of the Board of AAT South Africa, a not for profit joint venture between AAT and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants aimed at improving service delivery in the public sector and capacity development across the South African economy.
Jane started her career at the University of Oxford Delegacy of Local Examinations where she was involved in the management of public examinations and in curriculum development.
She was awarded the OBE in 2008 for services to the accountancy profession.
