Iain Bourne, Group Manager, Policy Delivery, Information Commissioners Office
Iain joined the Information Commissioner’s office in 1996. During his time with the Commissioner he has dealt with a wide range of areas, including health service compliance, new technologies, international issues and privacy at work. Iain worked for a couple of years on the freedom of information side of the Commissioner’s office, before moving back to data protection in 2006 to deal with information-sharing policy. Iain worked on the recently published privacy notices and personal information online codes of practice and is now working on ICO’s data sharing code of practice. Iain has moved recently into the ICO’s newly formed Policy Delivery Department, looking at the way ICO formulates and promulgates its policy lines.
