Paul Tobin, Postgraduate Taught Representative, National Union of Students (NUS)

Paul Tobin studied International Relations and Politics at the University of Sheffield before taking a sabbatical year as President of the Students' Union. During this year the Students' Union was ranked as the best in Britain by the Times Higher Education Magazine and Virgin Alternative Guide, as well as achieving Gold in the Students' Union Evaluation Initiative. He has now moved across Yorkshire to the University of Leeds, where he has been lucky to receive a scholarship for an MA in Conflict, Security and Development. He is also the Postgraduate Taught Representative for NUS and holds a particular interest in Widening Participation and funding in PGT study.
