Susan Hayday
Susan joined fdf in August 06 to take forward fdf’s widening participation strategy with an initial focus on enhancing Information, Advice and Guidance support for Foundation degree provision and supporting progression to and through Foundation degrees for less advantaged learners. From July 2008 her role has focused more strongly on work-place progression such as from Apprenticeships, and on developing resources to support workplace learners and those that advise them. Formerly Susan was HE and Curriculum Manager at the Association of Colleges where she led on HE matters. Her work included policy development, and working with national bodies and government representing the post-16 sector. Prior to joining AoC Susan enjoyed a long and varied career in London FE including a period as a local authority adviser. Her particular commitment was to innovative curriculum development and provision that enabled progression for young people and adults who had been unsuccessful at school.
