Cllr Brian Coleman AM
Cllr Brian Coleman AM is the London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden and Chairman and Leader of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA). He was the first Conservative Chairman of the London Assembly in 2004/5. He is also the Cabinet Member for Environment
& Operations at the London Borough of Barnet, and was also Mayor of the borough in 2009/10.
Brian was appointed to the newly-created LFEPA in 2000 and has been Leader of the Conservative Group on the Authority since then. He was Deputy Chair of the Authority from 2000-2004, Vice-Chair of the Authority from 2005-2008 and was appointed Chairman of the Authority in June 2008 by
the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. Brian also fulfils a number of national
leadership roles within the fire sector, including Chairman of the LG Group’s
Fire Services Forum and Fire Services Management Committee.
