Dr Keith Pond
Keith is the Associate Dean (Teaching) in Loughborough University’s Triple accredited* School of Business and Economics. Keith currently leads the SBE Business and Economics Education Research Interest Group and the University Education Research Network.
A former manager with Midland Bank Keith was Midland Group Visiting Fellow at Loughborough University from 1986 to 1989. Keith's practical banking experience covers retail banking, problem corporate lending and research project management – all of which inform his teaching. Since 1986 he has researched extensively into personal and corporate insolvency, as well as debt counselling, bank lending, flexible learning and student peer-assessment. Keith maintains an intensely practical approach to his research work and obtained a PhD. in 2003 on the subject of individual insolvency. He has authored a number of textbooks and Distance Learning texts on banking areas and has published widely in the academic and professional press.
