Julie has over 20 years experience as an FE lecturer, line manager and senior leader. She has held responsibility for a wide range of both curriculum areas and support functions, including Student Services, and has managed both tutorial and pastoral support. In her current TDA role, Julie works closely with the DfE and BIS in developing workforce strategy across both FE and schools.

She is Policy Lead for 14-19 Workforce Development and IAG, and is working with a large number of school partnerships across the country. As a member of the Taskforce for the Careers Profession she contributed to the October report: ‘Towards a stronger careers profession’. She is currently working with the Careers Profession Alliance to consider how TDA might best support schools in the transition to the new All Age Careers Service. She is passionate about the importance of high quality careers education and guidance.
