Phil Carey
Phil works in the Faculty of Health and Applied Social Sciences as the academic lead for learning and teaching. This role involves ensuring implementation of the University’s Learning, Teaching and Assessment strategy, as well as identifying and promoting best practice. He also supports student engagement activities in the Faculty and is currently studying student participation in university governance and programme development.
Phil led the Faculty’s involvement in the HE Academy’s summit programme promoting student success via the development of inclusive learning and teaching. In relation to this, he has researched and published in how inclusive educational practices can complement and work with professional body requirements.
