Assistant Director of Economy at East Sussex County Council. With over 20 years of economic development experience, Kieran has held a variety of senior roles in local government for the last 14 years. Before entering local government, Kieran worked for Scottish Enterprise, the national economic development agency for Scotland in their Edinburgh & Lothian’s office. Kieran’s current areas of responsibility cover the economic development, adult skills, trading standards, emergency planning and gypsy and traveller functions at the County Council.

Originally from Hull, Kieran has two teenage children, is a Governor of his local secondary school, a Corporation Member of Sussex Downs College and is the current Chair of the Chief Economic Development Officers Society (CEDOS).
