Kate Butland
Kate Butland is the Head of Postgraduate Services at UCAS; she is responsible for end to end product ownership for all Postgraduate, GTTR and UKPASS services. Kate works closely with customers to ensure their needs are accurately represented so postgraduate products and services and continually evolving and enhancing.
Previous to this role Kate headed up the UCAS Customer Service Unit where her work involved ensuring that the 600,000 applicants were supported through the application process.
Within her role as Customer Service Manager Kate over saw the implementation of various quality monitoring and customer service programmes. The success of these programmes were recognised with the unit winning a National Training Award, receiving highly commended in the National Customer Service Awards and achieving accreditation to the CCA (Contact Centre Association) Standard. Kate was also responsible for the introduction of the dedicated HEI and Schools and College team which was recognised for its achievement by receiving highly commended awards at the South West Contact Centre Forum, European Call Centre Awards and the Contact Centre Association awards.
During her time as Customer Service Manager Kate was acknowledged for her work in customer services by winning Manager of the Year at the South West Contact Centre Forum awards and the Contact Centre Association awards.
