David began his career in the bus industry as Management Trainee with West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive in 1975. He moved to Northampton Transport and subsequently managed family-owned bus companies in the East Midlands before moving into local government in 1990 after a short spell as a bus driver.

He worked in transport coordination with Flintshire County Council with a regional involvement until 2009 when he became Integrated Transport Operations Manager with Merseytravel responsible for the PTE’s operational involvement with bus and rail services.

A member of the Association of Transport Coordinating Officers since 1995, David is currently Chair of the North West region and a Board Member
