Jo Williams is Chair of the Care Quality Commission. Previously, Jo was Chief Executive, Royal Mencap Society. She is also the former president of the Association of Directors of Social Services and champion for social care services throughout a career in local government. Jo is also a trustee of a number of other voluntary organisations. Jo has recently been appointed as a Commissioner on the Commission on the Funding of Care and Support.
