Lorna Potter
Lorna Potter is a community nurse by background, boasting 34 years’ experience of working in and alongside the health services and independent sector in clinical and managerial roles. She has a particular interest in the care of people with long term conditions, life limiting disease and cancer. Having developed skills in education and training she has been involved in national and local work developing training in palliative and end of life care for doctors, nurses and allied professions across health and social care. She was formally commissioner for end of life care for NHS Devon and Devon County Council, work which has led to her current contract with the Dying Matters Coalition. In this role she leads the Dying Matters GP Enhanced Communications Skills pilot work and assists in the Dying Matters Coalition’s community development and public awareness work.
