Matt Tee is Permanent Secretary for Government Communications. Before his current role he was Chief Executive of NHS Direct. Matt joined NHS Direct from the Department of Health where he was the Director General of Communications. Before moving to the Department of Health, Matt worked as Director of Business Development at health information specialists Dr Foster. He has a long background in the health sector having previously held communications director roles at the Commission for Health Improvement and at Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals.
