Dr Ibrahim Al-Turki is the Executive Director of the MENA Child and Youth Initiative (CYI), an initiative for child protection co-created by the World Bank and the Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI).

Dr Al-Turki has held several positions in academia and the private sector. He was the Dean of the College of Management Sciences and Planning, Dean of the Graduate faculty, Chairman of Economics Department, and Chairman of the Management Information Systems Department, all at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia.

He has also been an advisor to numerous government and non-government organisations in Saudi Arabia .

Dr Al-Turki was the president of the Muslim Students association at Washington State University and chairman of the board of trustees of Pullman Islamic center. Dr Al-Turki holds a PhD from the School of Economic Sciences at Washington State University.
