Dr Philida Schellekens
Dr Schellekens is an independent consultant, author, researcher, teacher and teacher trainer.
Philida has a special interest in language learning and teaching in classroom settings; on-line and in the vocational training and work context. She is an additional OFSTED inspector covering ESOL, English and maths as well as foreign languages and British Sign language.
Philida has recently produced a discussion paper (supported by Cambridge ESOL) on the differences between the learning of English as a first and second language and the implications for policy; testing and teaching methodology. She works in the UK as well as internationally, including in the Middle East; India and Tunisia.
