Tim Burton joined QAA as an Assistant Director in 2009, where he is part of the Standards, Quality and Enhancement strand of the Research, Development and Partnerships Group.

Prior to that he was at the University of Hull, as a Lecturer in law for six years before working in student administration and then the University Quality Office (from 2003). During that time he was an Audit Secretary for QAA and an active member of the ARC Quality Practitioners' Group, NUCCAT and the Quality Strategy Network.
