Christine Slaymaker
Christine Slaymaker has been Principal of Farnborough College of Technology since September 2001. The College was rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and ‘Outstanding’ by the SFA for Provider Financial Assurance in November 2011.
Christine’s teaching career began in 1980 as a lecturer in Business Studies. She is a Business Graduate, a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has a Further & Higher Education Teaching qualification.
Christine has been Vice Chair of the Association of Colleges HE in FE group and also formerly Vice Chair of the Mixed Economy Group of Colleges.
She has served as a Council member for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Learning and Skills Council and on the South East England Regional Assembly (SEERA). She has also served a term of office on the South Central Connexions Board.
Christine is currently on the Board of Farnborough Aerospace Consortium, sits on Advisory Panels for the Royal Engineers and the Army School of Catering, is a a Governor of an infant school in Aldershot and Board member for the social enterprise company, Community Matters.
