Gordon Gillespie
Gordon currently works as Vice Principal Curriculum, Planning and Quality for Lincoln College, a large and complex GFE College, with an annual turnover in excess of £42m. His role has several key tasks; which include writing the high level Self Assessment Review (SAR) and preparing the academic plan which involves planning the whole college curriculum. As the college nominee, he has been at the centre of quality improvement and institutional review. He has a first degree in Business Law and a Certificate in Education teaching qualification. He is in the final two years of a PhD in Education with a primary thesis in learning constructs.
His career began as an apprentice engineer which resulted in him working as a specialist design engineer for a small manufacturing company in Merseyside. He then went on to have a second career in commercial underwriting for a large multinational insurer before entering teaching in the early 1990’s.
