David Townson is a Strategic Design Consultant and has worked as a designer and design manager, in various roles and for a number of organisations, for the last twenty years. He trained as a product designer on Northumbria University's Design for Industry Honours Programme and holds a Masters with Distinction in Strategic Design Management from Brunel University.

David has worked in high volume plastic packaging, mobile telecoms, educational programmes and service innovation consultancy amongst other areas. He is also an external examiner to the University of the Arts/Cranfield University MDes in Service Design & Innovation and has close links to the design team at Dundee University.
