Jason Leman is Academic Development Officer for Surveys at the Higher Education Academy and co-ordinates the national Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey. His role includes developing survey design and reporting to help institutions use results for enhancement. With over ten years’ experience in student survey research and administration he has a strong background in the practical benefits and pitfalls of using surveys. His current research includes exploring how students interpret survey items, using cognitive interviewing techniques to inform survey design and analysis.
