Dr Bobbie Jacobson OBE
Dr Bobbie Jacobson has spent over three decades contributing to public health and health policy nationally, internationally and locally - initially in the third sector leading Action on smoking and Health, and later as a public health director in the East End of London. She is currently Director of the London Health Observatory (LHO). The LHO has a ten year history of providing authoritative and timely evidence and intelligence to back good investment decisions about health and healthcare in London and nationally. The LHO is widely known for the work it leads nationally on tackling social & ethnic inequalities in health and reducing tobacco-induced harm.
She was a member of Sir Michael Marmot’s Independent Review of Health Inequalities and now leads the new Inclusion Health Board’s Data and research working group- working closely with the new Institute of Health Equity. Dr Jacobson was awarded an OBE in 2006.
