Rachael Porsz
Rachael Porsz is a young and dynamic Community Tennis Project Manager for the Lawn Tennis Association where she manages one of their eight National Community Tennis Pilots in Tower Hamlets. She has been involved in tennis since a very young age playing competitively at a National and International Junior Level before accepting a College Tennis Scholarship to California State University Long Beach. It was in her last year there that she realized her desire to work in sport development after completing a successful project in conjunction with the LA Galaxy to provide Soccer Clinics to at risk children in the Inner Long Beach vicinity.
Back in the UK she went on to study a Master’s Degree in Sport and Culture, graduating with a distinction whilst starting to embark on a career in sport. Whilst completing her Masters she took on an Internship with a Sports Management company before securing a managerial role within a large leisure provider.
Immediately before working for the LTA she spent 18 months at Sutton Junior Tennis Centre developing their programs, marketing and community outreach. Rachael is extremely passionate about grassroots tennis and hopes that her work in this area will influence strategic decisions to achieve a step change in the number and profile of people playing tennis across the country not just in her pilot area.
In her spare time Rachael volunteers as Special Constable for the Metropolitan Police and is an avid fitness fanatic.
