Ed Foster
Ed Foster works to support students’ transition into higher education. Based in the Nottingham Trent University Library, he heads a team who deliver study support to students, manages the institutional Welcome Week programme and leads research into student retention.
Between 2008 & 2011, Ed led the tri-institutional HERE Project as part of the ‘What Works? Student Retention & Success’ programme. The team investigated the impact of doubting on retention. He has published on student transition, retention and engagement. He is currently involved in exploring the use of learning analytics to support student retention and success.
