Tammy Fevrier
Tammy is a career civil servant, starting out as a casual administrative assistant in Jobcentre Plus in 2002 following post graduate study in biochemistry. A partnership role in The Pension Service was followed by stints working as a Private Secretary to three Government ministers.
Following the birth of her son, Tammy led the Department for Work and Pension’s efforts to support socially excluded adults and introduced the redesigned Jobcentre Plus welfare to work regime in 2011.
In 2012, she took on a role leading strategic policy on issues impacting on family formation and breakdown and is now head of DWP’s Family Policy Division. Part of the Social Justice Directorate, the division is responsible for the development and delivery of policy in areas including support for survivors of domestic violence, improving outcomes for young people leaving care and troubled families. Tammy is a community governor at a local primary school.
