Frances Guy, Trustee of the Alexandria Trust – sees to impact reform of higher education in the Arab world.

She has been a Representative of UNWomen Baghdad since May 2012, was Adviser on Middle East policy at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office 2011-2012 and was British Ambassador to Lebanon between 2006 -2011.

Other responsibilities include: Head of Engaging with the Islamic World Department, Foreign And commonwealth office, 2004-2006 and British Ambassador to Yemen 2001 -2004.

Previously, she had served as a diplomat in Sudan, Ethiopia, Thailand.

Frances Guy is interested in skills for women, especially in the Middle East, and skills for the burgeoning population of the Arab world in general.
