Anne Beales MBE
Anne Beales has over 15 years’ experience working directly with those who access mental health services. In 2004 she joined Together to set up, develop, and lead the new Service User Involvement Directorate. Anne was a founding member and continues to be a supporter of the National Survivor User Network.
In 2008 she was appointed as a service user consultant to the NHS Confederation Mental Health Network until 2014. She also served as part of the government Social Work Task Force, set up to examine the quality, recruitment and retention of the profession.
In addition to these roles, Anne sits on the Equalities Ministerial Advisory Group for Mental Health and has recently been appointed as a Trustee for Disability Rights UK.
