Dr Chaulia is professor and executive director of the Centre for Global Governance and Policy at the Jindal School of International Affairs. His areas of specialisation include diplomacy, armed conflict and humanitarian practices. He has more than 690 publications to his credit, and has been an international civilian peacekeeper for the NGO, Nonviolent Peaceforce.
