Chris McLean has worked in Further Education for the last 24 years. His background is in Computer Science, which he lectured in for five years before managing a Computing Curriculum area for three years. Chris then spent four years working in the field of ILT and e-learning; a year of which was spent consulting in industry. More recently he has had roles in IT support.

He has been at North Hertfordshire College for eight years as Vice Principal, and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team with strategic responsibility for: Students Services; Information and Learning Technologies; Quality & Standards; Information Services; Learning Resources and Additional Learning Support.

His passion is using technology as an enabler to improve the way we deliver, manage and support learning and teaching. He is also currently working with a commercial partner to help develop data warehouse solutions for the FE sector, making live reporting, KPI dashboards and data driven quality processes available to college staff.
