Brian Woodcock
Brian’s experience covers some 25 years working at Corporate Director level with a number of Local Authorities in Scotland and England. This has involved many roles in leisure and culture. Before leaving local government in 2006, Brian had been Director of Culture, or equivalent for some 15 years concluding his local authority service as Director of Arts and Recreation and then Corporate Director for Neighbourhood Services with Aberdeen City Council. He was also Chairman and Secretary of the Scottish Association of Directors of Leisure Services and advisor to CoSLA [Convention of Scottish Local Authorities], the Scottish Office, Scottish Executive and Scottish Parliament from 1992 – 2002.
Now as Managing Director of Power Through People Ltd, Brian’s consultancy experience involves the delivery of strategic service reviews and performance improvement projects for the public and third sectors. One of Brian’s current assignments is as project manager for the London Library Change Programme.
