Jacqui Ghigi
Jacqui Ghigi, Coordinator for Complex and Severe Learning Difficulties, Children, Adults and Families, Blackpool Council
Jacqui is the Coordinator for the Complex and Severe Learning Difficulties Service in Blackpool, consisting of 6 Advisory teachers, a specialist SSA and a Mental Health Practitioner. Jacqui has worked in both mainstream and special educational settings and runs a youth club for young people with autism aged 12-25 years.
Jacqui has a M.Ed in autism and has previously worked for the University of Birmingham as a part-time tutor on the Webautism course. She is also an Honorary Lecturer with the University of Cumbria delivering an accredited autism course in Blackpool. Jacqui delivers training locally and has spoken at a number of conferences in the north of England. She has participated in a number of NAS accreditations and has also assisted in writing two curriculum guidance books for staff working in schools and these have been published by the North West Autism Regional Partnership.
