Last year’s Sub-national Review of economic development and regeneration (SNR) paved the way for local authorities and their partners to work together – unconstrained by traditional geographical boundaries – through Multi Area Agreements (MAAs). This brought together a key audience to understand the scale and potential for the new MAAs to work within economic areas fundamentally to change the way complex economic issues are addressed. Delegates considered how a MAA can add value to their area and heard about early learning from pilots around models of MAAs and different governance arrangements.
