Truly effective communication is difficult but essential in reaching and engaging with individuals and communities, particularly the hardest to reach, minority groups and young people. This important one-day conference heard from speakers including Gillian Merron MP Parliamentary Secretary and Minister for the East Midlands from the Cabinet Office and the Government's Deputy Chief Nursing Officer, Kate Billingham. Chaired by broadcaster Nasreen Suleaman the event brought together representatives from the public, private and third sectors to explore successful methods of targeting and engaging with communities, by communicating at levels which they feel comfortable.
