The Government’s Public Health White Paper made clear the need to encourage healthier lifestyles through behaviour change initiatives. Evidence clearly demonstrates that interventions of this nature can be delivered at relatively low cost with huge health gains. Ultimately, moving people away from a dependency model of health care to self-care will save money and as public health responsibility moves to local government there is a clear opportunity for some real culture shifts.
This conference provides viewers the opportunity to understand the most up-to-date developments in behaviour change science whilst being able to explore the practical implementation of a range of different initiatives.
Through the exploration of best practice case studies from across the country, viewers will gain knowledge to be able to take the opportunities and avoid the pitfalls in implementing their own initiatives locally.
