As the new political administration in the capital beds in, the social enterprise community is considering what the opportunities will be for those who want to deliver public services. The Mayor has signed up to the Social Enterprise Charter and the new ‘right to bid' should open up opportunities for social enterprises in London but there are questions to be answered. This conference set out social enterprise's critical path to success in a changing environment in the capital and provided an opportunity to discuss shifts in business development, public service delivery and the opening up of new markets with those leading the field. The event brought together high-calibre speakers, key politicians, policy-makers, journalists, private businesses and social entrepreneurs to debate London 's role as a leader of social enterprise.
